BROKERS INVESTING IN THEMSELVES E ach year we set aside an evening to recognize achievement in broker education and professional development. This year our Education Gala returned to the historic Omni King Edward Hotel in downtown Toronto. Graduates of our CAIB and CPIB programs, and top-performing RIBO students walked across the stage-a proud moment for everyone involved. Incoming IBAO President Joseph Carnevale opened the evening's events with a congratulatory speech, commending graduates on their achievements which, taken together, contribute to the overall strength of the channel. Attendees were treated to a keynote presentation by Juno-nominated singer-songwriter Peter Katz, who emphasized the power of staying present in your work and resisting the temptation to allow your day-today routine to wear down your resolve. These exceptional brokers and future brokers are integral to the broker network. By working to better themselves and further their knowledge and understanding, they've demonstrated that they possess the self-determination to stay in it, as Peter would say, and to deliver the exceptional service brokers are known for. Congratulations to all our graduates. WWW.IBAO.ORG 31 DECEMBER 2019http://WWW.IBAO.ORG
