TALENT FROM ALL ANGLES
alent-the focus of this issue and topic that almost everyone,
in every industry, never mind, the country, is talking about.
How to attract, how to retain, how to grow, how to engage-
talent. While the answer is not a simple one, it's clear that
fresh perspective and open-mindedness is the only way
forward if your goal is attracting the talent team, you want and need.
Eventually, building the team of your dreams.
This issue of The Ontario Broker magazine was both interesting and
insightful to take on, through the lens of insurance-an industry that
provides endless opportunities, covers unique and timely topics, is a
tried, tested and truly reliable career and yet continues to see retirees
outnumbering entrants.
Jam packed on the pages of this issue is discussion on ways of working
and fostering an employee/talent focused culture-the workplace you
want in this brand-new post-pandemic world. Going hand-in-hand with
the topic is our feature story-From Yes To Success-a conversation with
Sam Jazayeri of PrimeService Insurance, our 2021 winner of the Future
Leader Award of Excellence-where he shares his take on the industry
and the secret to honing in and keeping a talented team.
I hope in reading this issue, it sparks discussion, investigation on a new
approach and understanding of new ways of working now and on the
horizon. Perhaps it's as easy as this: surround yourself with talented
people and the rest seems simple.
