Jane Rohde a prises, on a congédié l'un des gestionnaires.
« Vous devez être attentif et savoir que, parfois, si les
choses ne sont pas comme il faut, vous devez faire la
bonne chose », conseille-t-elle.
De même, Kia Weatherspoon dit que la majorité du travail
que fait son entreprise porte sur des projets de logement
abordable, que l'on peut considérer comme controversés
dans certains secteurs où les promoteurs et les clients
sont pris dans une lutte difficile pour faire approuver des
projets de logements abordables et à revenus mixtes à
proximité de collectivités prospères.
« Nous devons défendre notre travail pour le compte de
notre client, surtout quand il s'agit du syndrome "Pas
dans ma cour", explique-t-elle. Si votre mission est de
vous ranger aux côtés de vos clients pour vous assurer
que quelque chose est fait pour le mieux-être de la plupart
des gens, alors vous devez absolument défendre votre
entreprise, son travail et la raison pour laquelle vous
prenez part à un tel projet. Pourvu que ce soit avantageux
pour la collectivité, je crois alors que vous devez défendre
votre travail. »
Christine Wozney abonde dans ce sens. « Si nécessaire,
et lorsque nous estimions que notre participation
appuyait un besoin ou une cause que certains jugeaient
controversée, nous défendions alors notre participation,
dit-elle. Encore une fois, il est vraiment important de
croire en ce sur quoi vous travaillez. »
