Mingshi Li (nfulms@njfu.edu.cn) is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Forestry, Nanjing Forestry
University, China. He received his B.S. degree in forestry information management in 1996, his MSc. degree in forest
management in 1999, and his Ph.D. degree in ecology in
2005, all from Nanjing Forestry University, China. He was a
visiting scholar in the Department of Geographic Sciences,
University of Maryland, College Park, in 2013 and worked as
a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Earth Resources Observation and Science, U.S. Geological Survey, Sioux Falls,
South Dakota, from 2006 to 2008. His research interest is
the application of remote sensing and geographic information systems in the mapping of forest structure parameters.
