The VLSI Symposia on Circuits and
Technology highlighted key technical achievements during the highly
interactive executive session, which
provided summaries and discussions of many papers, on-demand
paper presentation sessions, and
virtual demonstration sessions. An
award for the best of the demonstration session was presented to
authors from Sony and the Tohoku
Institute of Technology who presented " High-Density and LargeScale MEA System Featuring 236,880
Electrodes at 11.72-µm Pitch for
Neuronal Network Analysis. " The

on an analog chip to form the pixel
arrays, ADC, and interface, as illustrated in Fig ure 2. The stimulation, subsequent monitoring, and
