signal acquisition and processing
under nonideal conditions is the biggest
challenge faced by IC engineers.
In conclusion, Xu's report focused on
design examples and the main difficulties
of different types of wearable
and interventional medical chips and
systems. After the talk, an interactive
session was held during which
Xu answered questions and shared
his experiences.

discussed low-power analog circuits in
wearable medical equipment applications.
He said that with people's higher
expectations for chronic disease management
and preventive medical care
as well as the rapid development of
IC technology, wearable and interventional
medical devices have entered
the daily lives of the general public.
The medical analog front-end
circuit is responsible for sensing
various human physiological signals
(such as brain waves, electrocardiograms,
bioimpedance, and pulse
waves); it determines the entire
system's performance. On the other
hand, the analog front-end chip is in
contact with the human body, and
weak physiological signals are often
subject to various interferences

Since students usually consider doing
an internship during summer, the IEEE
Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) University
of Texas (UT) at Dallas Student
Branch Chapter decided to invite an
experienced designer from industry.
For its third Tech Talk, SSCS UT Dallas
hosted Dr. Brian Ginsburg, a design
engineer at Texas Instruments, on 12
August 2021, via Microsoft Teams.
In his talk, " Millimeter-Wave Imaging
for Automotive and Beyond, " Ginsburg
presented his team's work on
automated driving using millimeterwave
imaging. More than 20 attendees
joined from different countries,
which aligned with the " Education
With No Boundaries " goal of IEEE. The
