High precision, integrated battery module and
pack test solutions designed for all new
chemistries. From R&D to battery production,
our 17000 series provides advanced features
including regenerative discharge systems that
recycle energy sourced by the battery back to
the channels in the system or to the grid.
Systems are configurable and flexible with
multiple channel capabilities that can be
upgraded as testing requirements change.

Used to simulate lithium-ion cells, the 87001
Battery Cell Simulator provides high precision
current and voltage measurement, 2 current
ranges per channel, and current sharing for
parallel operation. The built-in battery
management system (BMS) and its
subsystem scan tests battery cells used in
electric vehicles and energy storage batteries.

On rare occasions, an electrical short can
develop inside the cell after passing
production tests due to burrs or particles on
the positive electrode reaching the negative
electrode after further charge and discharge
cycles. The 11210 Battery Cell Insulation
tester was specifically developed to measure
leakage current (LC) and insulation resistance
(IR) of the dry cell as well as other insulation
materials. In addition to standard LC/IR
measurement, the 11210 has a unique
function that detects partial discharge or
flashover that may have occurred inside the
insulation material during high voltage
insulation testing ensuring the shipment of
safer batteries.

Satisfy charge rate, discharge rate, state of
charge (SOC), state of health (SOH), and depth
of discharge (DoD) with accuracy in
measuring voltage, current, temperature and
power - statically and dynamically.

Module/Pack Simulation Software
Battery Simulation software used with our
17000 series can validate battery connected
device functions during development in lieu of
actual batteries. Automotive applications
include motor drivers, OBC, DC-DC convertors
or chargers, and products of DC bus.
