Many awards were presented to
authors and volunteers during the
event. In addition to an excellent
technical program, attendees and
guests were able to take advantage
of many sightseeing tours that were
arranged free of charge. Swimming,
rock climbing, and gallery tours were
also provided without additional
fees. The natural surroundings of the
conference location, inside a national
reserved parkland and a United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization world heritage
site, allowed close encounters with
wildlife that were appreciated by
many of the attendees.
We thank everyone for all of their
support in making SMC 2017 an outstanding conference.
