pursuing his Ph.D. degree in computer science at the ENDICAP-INSERM laboratory, the University of Versailles,
France. His research interests include gamification, serious
games, virtual reality, augmented reality, and health care.
Samir Garbaya (samir.garbaya@ensam.eu) earned his
engineering, M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in virtual reality from
the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, and the
University of Versailles, France. He is currently an associate
professor at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et
Métiers-ParisTech, France, and a researcher at the ENDICAP-INSERM laboratory. His research interests include
human-computer interaction, computer graphics, virtual
reality, haptics and spatialized sound, intelligent interactive
systems, and neuromotor and cognitive rehabilitation with
the gamification concept. He is a founding member of the
French Virtual Reality Society and has served as a scientific
expert for international science foundations and the European Commission.
Saida Bouakaz (saida.bouakaz@liris.cnrs.fr) earned
her Ph.D. degree from Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble,
France. She is a full professor in the Laboratoire
d'InfoRmatique en Image et Systèmes d'information Laboratory of the Department of Computer Science, Université
Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France. Her research interests
involve computer vision and graphics, including motion capture and analysis, gesture recognition, and facial animation.
Pierre Blazevic (pierre.blazevic@uvsq.fr) entered the
Ecole Normale Paris-Saclay in 1982 and passed the aggregation of applied physics in 1985. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D.
degrees in robotics from the Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris, France. He is currently a professor at the University
of Versailles, France, where he is a member of the END-ICAPINSERM laboratory, conducting research in gait analysis and
the design of assistive devices. His research is mainly related
to the locomotion and control of mobile robots.
