Prof. Lionel Tarassenko of the University
of Oxford delivered the second
keynote, " Apps, Wearables, and
Machine Learning for the COVID-19
Pandemic. " It was interesting to note
that the use of their developed system
reported minimized contact between
patients and nursing staff, reducing the
risk of COVID-19 transmission. Machine
learning techniques were used for the
automatic classification of test results.
The awards ceremony was held on
the final day of the conference, and the
winners were announced and publicized
on the IEEE SMC Society website.
