The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at
The George Washington University invites applications for
two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor rank in the areas
of Nanotechnology, and Electrical Power and Energy, respectively.
Successful candidates may start as early as the fall semester 2011.

The department has a well established and
nationally recognized research program in
the fields of micro- and nano-electronics,
computer engineering, and biomedical
engineering, among others. In addition,
the university has initiatives designating
the areas of biomedical engineering, nanotechnology and high-performance computing, and Energy as areas of excellence. The
George Washington University is located
in the nation's capital with close access to
many federal funding agencies and government research laboratories.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Successful candidates
for both positions will be expected to develop
externally sponsored research programs,
supervise Masters' and Doctoral students,
and contribute to the teaching and academic

Director
The Richard G. Lugar Center for Renewable Energy was established at
Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, (IUPUI) in 2007 to
address the societal needs for clean, affordable and renewable energy
sources, improve the nation's energy security, and reduce the negative
impacts of climate change. Its primary mission is to promote research
excellence in the areas of renewable energy through collaborative efforts
among faculty across disciplines.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. degree, a national reputation, and
research expertise and accomplishments in one or more areas of renewable energy which are of focus to the Center, funding record and teaching
experience appropriate to an appointment as a tenured full professor in
the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology. An emphasis will be
placed upon interpersonal and fundraising skills for this position. The
successful candidate must have demonstrated effectiveness in leading
academic programs and interacting with a diverse constituency.

at the University of Pittsburgh has an immediate opening for a
full-time research associate (RA). The RA will be responsible
for supporting the research activities relating to the nanoscale
fabrication instrumentation (electron beam lithography,
focused ion beam etching, dip-pen, and nanoimprint) within
the Nanoscale Fabrication and Characterization Facility
(NFCF). The RA will be required to maintain and operate
the equipment for current and future research efforts and also
to assist and train students, post-docs and other scientists
on the equipment. The ability to contribute to the related
activities of NFCF in nanofabrication, process integration and
characterization is also desirable. The successful candidate
must have a PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics,
materials science, chemistry, or related field, extensive
knowledge and experience in materials/device processing,
fabrication and instrumentation in cleanroom environment,
and a strong aptitude for collaborative research in an academic
environment. Excellent interpersonal communication and
