Conference on Systems, Man,
and Cybernetics (SMC 2016)
is dedicated to Hunga r ia n-bor n
John von Neumann, the pioneer of
modern computer science. In his
honor, the theme of the conference
is "Theory that Transformed the
World to a Cyberspace." The flagship annual conference of the IEEE
Systems, Ma n, a nd Cyber netics
Society (SMCS), held in Budapest on
9-12 October, will provide an international forum for researchers and
practitioners to report up-to-theminute innovations and developments, summarize the state of the
art, and exchange ideas and advances in all aspects of system science,
engineering, human-machine systems, and cybernetics.
The SMC Junior 2016 conference,
a new initiation of the SMCS, will
serve as satellite conference of the
Society's flagship conference. The
SMC Junior 2016 conference will be
dedicated to students, graduate students, and young professionals and
provides great opportunity for the
young generation to publish their
new scientific research and learn
about the volunteer activities in the
conference organization and technical committees. This new event
will be a part of the SMC 2016 conference with the same venue, social
events, and conference proceedings, and the Junior participants
can attend the SMC 2016's plenaries
and sections as well. Moreover, the
conference has several other special offerings:
◆ a Budapest public tra nspor t
ticket valid for one week for the
first 100 SMC student or graduated student participants
◆ a reduced registration fee for

Hungary lies in the basin of the Carpathian Mountains in east-central
Europe. Rich archaeological findings
show that this region was inhabited
in the prehistoric ages. The first cities were established by Celtics;
however, these were short-lived initiations because of the colonization of
the Roman Empire, which developed
the province of Pannonia here. In the
