About the Authors
Giancarlo Fortino (g.fortino@
unical.it) earned a Laurea (B.Sc.
and M.Sc.) degree and a Ph.D.
degree in computer engineering
from the University of Calabria
(Unical) in 1995 and 2000, respectively. He has been a visiting
researcher at the International
Computer Science Institute,
Berkeley, California, (1997 and
1999) and a visiting professor at
the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia (2009). He is a (habilitated full) professor of computer engineering at the Department of Electronics, Informatics, and Systems of the Unical in Rende, Italy. He is
also currently an adjunct professor at Wuhan University
of Technology and an adjunct senior research fellow at
the Italian National Research Council. He is the scientific
and technical project manager of the European Unionfunded H2020 INTER-IoT project on interoperability of
heterogeneous IoT platforms.
