A nimals use wetware, which
uses chemicals to store and process information, supported
by a hardware infrastructure.
Computers use software, which
uses electro-conductive manufactured materials to process
infor mation, supported by a
hardware infrastructure.
■ When a human wakes up in the
morning, they process internal
sensory information to see how
they feel, to check their health,
and address any needs or pains.
Computers when they start up
run a systems check, to see if
there is any errors, malfunctions,
and process internal sensor information to address any issues arising from outliers.
■ AI-bots don't breathe, eat, or feel
pleasure and pain, i.e., emotions.
But then the way that they animate sensory data, is the same
as the way we have built sensors
for the inanimate to mimic the
same. We have our conscience
and subconscious in the animate
world, and we make sense of our
reality based on our experiences.
It can be said that animates are
the sum of their cascading experiences. We all have individualized realities, and these are
generated from both our internal
and external stimuli. Who is to
say that AI-bots experiences are
any less or more than our own,
perhaps they are just different.
When you look at IBM's WATSON,
or Google's DeepMind, they are
generating ideas, creating art
and literature, solving complex
problems, asking questions, and
learning and sometimes beating
us at games and simulations.
For whatever reason, Artificial
Intelligence is being driven by a
range of different self-interests: from
commercial to military, taking life to
saving it, high tech labs to backyard
garages, private interest to open

Well a big proportion of humans,
be they right or wrong, no longer
believe in a soul.
■ Under Descartes dualism, there
is a separation between the mind
and the body. So that under the
law, at least in Western areas, corporations are considered an artificial person. That is why a company
can be sued, own property, or has
to act in a legal manner.
There is no way that society will
ever recognize AI-bots.
■ Society at one stage has not always recognized the follow categories for citizenship, voting
rights, employment, property
ownership, and self-determination.
* Children
* Females
* Indigenous
* Homosexuals
* Negros
* Slaves
■

It would disrupt the economy.
After each recognition of the
above categories as income
earners with self-determination,
a flood of more spenders in the
marketplace redefined the supply and demand cycle, hence
driving the economy upwards.
Our thirst for entertainment, by
pushing technology to its boundaries for the next level of stimulation.
■ The next surprise, thrill, or stimulation, around the corner has always
driven the circus of our entertainment. In the case of AI, I wonder if
our thirst for entertainment-driven
technology, is actually driving our
technological development when
regarding Artificial Intelligence.
Animals and computers are
different
■ Yes, they are different, but much
of computers are based on human design.
