t's fun to sit in the Impressions booth at the Imprinted Sportswear Shows
(ISS) and listen to attendees as they stop by. The topic of discussion is most
often our display of award-winning shirts from the annual Impressions Awards
competition. Amid the "oohs" and "aahs" are decorators carefully examining the
embroidery works, and digital and screen prints, for technical expertise, color use,
registration, overall impact, etc.
They compare the winning entries to their own shops' expertise and talk among
themselves about what they like and why they like it. The designs on display in
the Impressions booth at the ISS events are the talk of whichever town we happen
to be visiting at the time. Wouldn't it be nice if people were talking about one of
your designs?
We've showcased thousands of decorators throughout this prestigious competition's history and we love to see what our old friends are up to with their entries
each year. But also we love to see entries from new contestants, some of whom win
awards upon entering designs for the first time.
No matter what kind of apparel decoration your shop excels in, one thing's for
sure: You can get the same exposure so many other decorators have enjoyed just
by entering this industry awards competition. There are categories for all decorating processes and shops of all sizes. You never know - you might have a winning
design sitting in front of you right now.
At our website, impressionsmag.com, you'll find the rules, categories and entry form for this year's Impressions Awards competition, which will be judged at
October's ISS Fort Worth. Don't delay submitting your entries, as the deadline is
in September.
Even if you don't win, your entry will be showcased in our Awards Galleries
at impressionsmag.com. We update them once a week and it's not only a place to
share your work, but it also acts as an idea generator for your own shop's needs.
Peruse them often and see what everyone else is up to in an effort to boost your
shop's creativity. You never know when you'll be the talk of the town.
