When possible, research popular designs that are being
worn in the sport for which you are designing.
The next design, commonly called a bowtie
design, was laid out (Figure 2) and then the
envelope was applied to distort the look of
the text. Next, the image was duplicated several times, and a graphic and year was placed
behind it. In this case, a distress bitmap was
used above the graphic to give it a worn look.
In the third template logo design, the text
was created and then given an "S"-shaped
envelope that was placed over a large background graphic (Figure 3). The font was
carefully enveloped and then stretched to
line up with the smaller font that described
the sport.The final touch included adding a
double outline, drop shadow and line work
that was powerclipped into the top text layer
to give it a retro look.

MULTIPLYING YOUR WORK
If you have created all of your templates correctly, magic can happen after you complete
your first sales sheet. CorelDRAW has a macro command for replacing text built into the
software. All you have to do is copy your file, then save it as a new name and use the "replace
text" command to replace the team name.
Since all of the layout's designs should have fonts that are controlled by the envelope command, your text instantly will change and maintain the design position and font style. The
only other required step is to use CorelDRAW's macro command to change the accent color
in the sheet. The entire process can be done in less than three minutes.

Once the logos were all finalized with the
main fonts remaining editable so they could
be quickly adjusted, I placed the designs on
a page with garment backgrounds.To make
things more appealing, I added a color adjustment to each design as a backdrop. The
sales sheet also would be accompanied by a
price guide so the client could quickly select
a design and garment combination without a
lot of fuss, all while remaining excited about
the artwork.
A variety of garments was used to set up
this sales sheet. Depending on your customers
and their businesses, you may want to adjust
it to depict just one type of garment instead
of three.The goal here was to get the art and
sales sheet done quickly while ensuring it
looked good. If clients can't see the designs
on a sample garment, they are less likely to
make an impulse purchase.
Although the designs shown here may not
be a perfect fit for your shop, the method
should work for a wide variety of logo-design
templates and their corresponding sales sheets.
Practice this proactive approach to creating
easy-to-adapt graphics. Once you get the hang
of it, you can supercharge your marketing
when a slow month approaches. 
