Fruit of the Loom
Launches ICONIC
Collection
FRUIT OF THE LOOM, Bowling Green, Kentucky, is launching
its ICONIC T-Shirt collection, a modern take on the classic T-shirt.
"Decorators asked for a dependable tee with a super-soft hand,
performance and value; and with a variety of styles, sizes and
colors, the ICONIC T-Shirt delivers," says Jeff Traen, director of
marketing at Fruit of the Loom Activewear/JERZEES.
With a classic fit, the ICONIC ring-spun tee is available in
sizes Y-4XL and four styles: the unisex T-shirt; unisex longsleeve T-shirt and family companion styles; the ladies' T-shirt;
and youth T-shirt. The 30-singles, 100% ring-spun cotton fabric
provides a soft, lightweight hand and an extra-smooth print surface,
according to the company.
"Tinted neutrals offer the key to trans-seasonal, genderless color
for the ICONIC collection, easily moving customers from autumn
through spring," says Kristen Vincent, manager of merchandising
at Fruit of the Loom Activewear/JERZEES. "Colors like Aqua
Velvet Heather, Candy Hearts Heather, Oatmeal Heather and Mint
To Be Heather are all inspired by natural dyes, and decorators will
love that prints really pop off this updated neutral color palette."

The ICONIC tee collection is available in 27 colors,
including basics, heathers, fashionable overdyes and
beachy, resort colors.

HANESBRANDS, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, recently announced its fourth-quarter
results and full-year 2019 earnings-per-share growth. In 2019, the company generated
$803 million of net cash from operations and significantly reduced its debt leverage by
paying down $609 million of debt in 2019. For the full year, net sales increased 2% to
$6.97 billion and represented the second consecutive year of constant-currency organic
sales growth. Fourth-quarter GAAP EPS and adjusted EPS excluding actions were each 51
cents, increases of 24% and 13%, respectively.
BELLA+CANVAS, Los Angeles, recently launched FAM 2.0, the second iteration of content
for its online Fashion Apparel Masterclass (FAM) courses. FAM 2.0 includes video lessons
on three new topics, along with interactions, downloadable resources and customer-ready
selling tools. The new module includes an update on dynamics affecting the promotional
products industry; a crash course on the difference between premium and faux premium
garments; and a look at why all premium brands aren't created equal. Members of the
Promotional Products Association Intl. (PPAI) education program can receive Certified
Advertising Specialist (CAS) credits for completing the courses.
ALTERNATIVE APPAREL, Atlanta, will replace all virgin polyester with 100% recycled
polyester in its manufacturing process, beginning this year. The move makes the ecofocused apparel brand the first in the printwear market to take such a step, according
to the company. The conversion is expected to be completed in 2021. Some style names
will change, but prices will remain the same. Throughout 2019, Alternative Apparel used
reduced polyester and kept the equivalent of 1.2 million water bottles from landfills.
