If you want to incorporate text, keep the layout "live" instead of rasterizing or converting it to paths. This will allow you to change it for the next layout. quickly and easily place a photo inside the shape. (see Figures 6 and 7) To paste the photo inside the mask, open the photo frame file and photograph file. With the photo file active, go to Select > All, then Edit > Copy. Go to your photo frame file and make sure the mask layer is selected in the Layers palette. Go to Edit > Paste to place the photo on a layer above the mask layer. Hover the cursor on the line between the photo and mask layers and hold down the Option (on a Mac) or Alt (on a PC) key. You'll notice the cursor will change to a right-angle arrow pointing downward. Click on the mask layer and the photo automatically will be pasted inside the mask shape. It still will be on its own layer, so you can click on the photo layer and resize or reposition the photo as needed until it's set up like you prefer within the mask area. Besides customizing text and using photos, you may find that changing colors will be beneficial and help customize the layout even further. This is particularly true when creating sports-themed frames. You can change the colors in your design to the team's colors. In Photoshop, use the Hue/Saturation Image Adjustment option located under the Image menu to do this. Since objects will be arranged on different layers, make note of the entries that you make in each field when you adjust the color of the first object. Then, you can adjust the color of the other objects on the additional layers using the same numbers so that the color will change and match that of the previously adjusted objects.
