Day 8: Cusco-Puno
This morning board beautiful Belmond Andean Explorer,
your home for next two nights.
Admire breathtaking scenery as
your train crosses high Andes
to shimmering Lake Titicaca.
En route, visit Inca temple of
Raqch'i; enjoy dusk at La Raya.

Picchu. Two-hour guided tour
of this archaeological wonder.
English tea, later, dinner at hotel.
Day 6: Machu Picchu - Cusco
Bask in glorious dawn at Machu
Picchu. See famous Inti Punku
(Sun Gate), or hike challenging
Huayna Picchu. After a full day
exploring Machu Picchu, board
Belmond Hiram Bingham early
evening. Enjoy elegant dinner
with Peruvian wine, then entertainment in bar car. Tonight,
check in to Cusco's Belmond
Hotel Monasterio for two nights.

Day 7: Cusco
Today's half-day tour of Cusco,
includes cathedral on the Plaza
de Armas, Santo Domingo Temple and Dominican Church and
convent built atop Inca ruins.
Also see fortress of Sacsayhuaman; Kenko, the amphitheater
and religious center; Tambomachay, Inca Baths and red
fortress of Puca-Pucara. Lunch at
Limo Restaurant, a must for connoisseurs of Peruvian high cuisine. Afternoon at leisure, then
dinner at El Tupay restaurant at
the Belmond Hotel Monasterio.

Day 9: Puno
Full-day tour exploring two of
Lake Titicaca's famous islands:
Uros, a group of man-made
floating islands built entirely
of reeds; and Taquile, an island
untouched by modernity, whose
people wear traditional clothing
and are known for their highquality weaving.
Day 10: Puno - Arequipa
Depart Puno. First stop is Sumbay Caves, whose more than
500 paintings and engravings
- between 6,000 and 8,000
years old-depict local wildlife.
Then begin descent to Arequipa
amidst backdrop of volcanos
and rock-strewn highlands. Later,
transfer to Libertador Arequipa
Hotel for one-night stay.

Day 11: Arequipa
Tour Peru's White City, so named
because of white volcanic rock.
Visit Plaza de Armas, former
cloisters of Jesuit orders and picturesque suburbs of Yanahuara
and Chilina, with great views of
Misti Volcano. Then visit Santa
Catalina Convent. After lunch, fly
to Lima. Transfer to Wyndham
Costa del Sol Lima Airport Hotel
before your flight home.
