PEOPLE & PLACES acpi Jeffrey F. Taylor has been named global vice president and general manager of innovation and research and development for Formica Corporation. In his newly created role, he will be responsible for aligning technical strategy with forward-thinking market initiatives to support growth. Previously, Taylor was director of innovation and product development at Valspar Corporation. Eighteen months after the purchase of Armstrong Cabinets, cabinetry manufacturer acpi announced the creation of Echelon Cabinetry and Advanta Cabinets. More than $7 million has been invested in operational enhancements and process improvements focused on improving overall service levels to customers.
