PLUMBING DISTRIBUTORS INC. has re-
cently opened in Atlanta's Buckhead
neighborhood for both trade professionals and consumers. The store,
which features vignettes, inspiration
areas and tile presentation areas, offers a variety of services, including
design development, product selection and project assistance via four
designers on staff. This is the 13th Signature Store to open and is the first in
the Southeast.

NORTH ATLANTIC CORP. (NAC), a millwork
distributor and custom manufacturer of windows,
doors, kitchens and stairs, has partnered with Solect
Energy to install a 1,551kw solar energy system on
the roof of its Somerset, Mass., location. The system is
expected to cover 90 percent of NAC's annual electricity
bill and potentially offset an increase in energy demands
from the completion of a 45,000-sq.-ft. addition to its
manufacturing facility.The company also has a program
to recycle sawdust into furnace-fueling pellets and uses
water-based coatings when pre-finishing products.
