Understanding the concepts of lighting is essential, but this session offers
tips to create practical lighting designs for clients. Do you hesitate to sell
lighting packages because of a lack of knowledge? Take away the fear
by attending this lighting course dedicated to practical design. Real-life
application is the focus of this two-hour course, allowing designers to
create reflected ceiling plans that communicate selections with installers
and electricians. Basics of electrical systems will be discussed. Designers
will have the opportunity to bring their own client projects for lighting
design assistance as well.

What is Authentic Luxury and how does it affect the kitchen and bath
industry? At ROHL, we believe Authentic Luxury is when original design

representatives on how to differentiate authentic luxury brands, bring a
closer appreciation for the meaning of true authentic luxury and show
how this understanding can help grow their business. The Authentic
Luxury program has been built in conjunction with Pamela Danziger,
published authority on luxury marketing. Her research with the design
community, work with Kravet and ROHL and a collaboration with
Greg Rohl on the development of a two year series of day-long Auth
Lux Summits throughout the country including Atlanta, Palm Beach,
Boston, San Francisco, New York, Chicago and Dallas have resulted
in a comprehensive look at the topic. This session will provide design
professionals with the insights and information on how to vet and select
Authentic Luxury products, educate their clients on the importance of
original design and develop key marketing strategies to elevate their
design business, distinguishing you as a master of the topic.

According to an analysis of homes listed on Zillow from 2016-17,
those homes listing outdoor kitchens sold for 25 percent more than
expected. In fact, consumers are increasingly considering their outdoor
spaces to be just as important as their indoor spaces - opting to invest
more in amenities that let them "bring the indoors outside." A natural
extension of this growing focus on outdoor living, outdoor kitchens and
entertaining areas have become a "must have" for many homeowners.
Design-build professionals and dealers/retailers can leverage this trend
by adding outdoor amenity solutions to their offerings. Versatile and
adaptable for any space, geographic location and design preference,
outdoor kitchens and amenities not only add enjoyment to the outdoor
experience, but also have the potential to significantly increase a home's

Selling to Design by NOT Designing to Sell has consistently increased
her closing ratio and how she easily earns design fees within a two-hour
investment of time before she puts pencil to paper to design. She will
provide examples of the documents she shares with her clients, explain
the communication process she uses that turns the prospect into a
client and will discuss the importance of why and how our role in the
design process needs to change in order to succeed.
