I am an interior designer, as well as an online instructor teaching
design theory for a program called Design Alive. I am passionate
about kitchens, and specialize in kosher kitchen design. As an
Orthodox Jew who loves to cook and bake, I am intimately familiar
with the ins and outs of kosher kitchen layouts. As a designer, my goal
is to guide my kosher clients in designing a kitchen that is not only
beautiful, but completely functional as well.
A good design will create an incredible experience. In Jewish culture,
the kitchen is the hub where family gathers together to cook for the
Sabbath and holidays, creating meaningful connections, and memories
for a lifetime.
Because of all the requirements for a kosher kitchen, it is necessary
to familiarize designers with the concepts of cooking kosher, with
separate zones for meat, dairy and parve. The need to find extra
space to accommodate separate meat, dairy and parve dishes and
cutlery, as well as separate appliances, is a unique challenge. It is
not uncommon to see kosher kitchens that contain three sinks, two
dishwashers, two separate ovens and microwaves as well as separate
countertop for meat, dairy and parve.

awkward moment... for everyone! I will discuss my methodology
of making it a pleasant moment for everyone! We will discuss how
to relax the prospect, asking "easily answered questions" that
will open them up to telling you more about why they walked into
your showroom. Too many of us suffer from what I call "Premature
Presentation" of our products or services. We will discuss how to
avoid being that person. That will make you unique because I can
almost guarantee your competitors are asking three simple questions,
for example "are you traditional, modern, or transitional in your styling
preference", then launching into what is "Great" about their product
and service! Big no-no! We will roll play those scenarios out and have
a lot of fun doing it. This is an interactive program, so bring your most
challenging customers' questions, requests, etc. We will even discuss
the guy that says -" Hey, I don't have time for this, can I just give you
my plan and you give me a price"- Ahhhhhh that guy! Last year in
Orlando, we had so much fun to a packed room, it evolved into a
Town Hall Session where we tackled the audiences most challenging
issues. I look forward to seeing you there!
