Richard a2z has become a shooting star in our
industry. The news hadn't yet broken when we
chose the winners for this year's competition, but
since then he has been named the lead kitchen
designer for Matthew Quinn's new Design Galleria Showroom in the Nashville Design Collective - set to open in October. Small world!
As a 2019 NKBA Industry Insider, Anuszkiewicz represents the luxury design segment and
was recently part of a panel discussing the topic
during KBIS.He hopes to provide a more holistic
approach and global outlook to design.

His RicharLiving.com platform (Richar is
pronounced "richer") is his lifestyle brand that
focuses on quality over quantity, and over time
he plans to offer inspirational resources for the
greater design community.
"The real essence of Richard's inspiration is
fueled by a heart and soul that is deeply sensitive
to the world around him," said designer Paula
Kennedy, his nominator. "Not only is he grateful
to those who have opened doors for him, but he
in turn is a cheerleader for his peers as we all forge
our own unique paths in this industry."

Alena Capra has been the owner of Alena Capra
Designs in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for 10+ years.
Her 16 years in the industry have included five
years as the Coverings Industry Ambassador,
during which time she has had the opportunity
to travel to tile factories overseas and promote
the global tile and stone show and current tile
selections to the architecture and design community in the U.S.
Capra has always enjoyed public speaking and
is a natural on camera. She dedicates time for
various charity initiatives, including designing
a football-themed bathroom for a boys' cot-

tage on the West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Kid
Sanctuary Campus, an organization that builds
homes for abused and neglected children placed
in foster care.
She has served as a brand ambassador for
Robern, partnered with Legrand for a social
media campaign and hosted a KBIS event for
Café appliances. She says those opportunities
can come from anywhere, including via her social media pages.
"I think it's important to put yourself and your
work out there," she added. "You never know
who's looking."

As president of Beverly Hills, Calif.-based ArchInteriors Design Group, Grubb is no stranger
to the design industry. For more than 30 years,
he has been wowing us by winning numerous
awards, being published in a variety of notable
publications and speaking at a myriad of events.
For more than two years, Grubb has been the
host and a producer for House Tipster, a platform where he interviews designers to get the
skinny on info at industry trade shows to which
the general public may not be privy.
"I'm proud of getting to involve my existing

industry friends and make new ones, the variety
of content we cover and how quickly House Tipster became recognized for its quality - a media
source unlike anything else," said the designer.
His most popular speaking engagement is
his session titled "Am I Doing It Right," during which he talks in detail about what he has
learned during his notable career. Grubb's next
step is to finish his book, which is based on the
same lecture and covers his six Ps - procuring,
process, psychology, partnerships, publicity and
product design.
