AMUNEAL'S NEW 4,800-SQ.-FT. SHOWROOM
is scheduled to open in September in the
New York Design Center. The new location
is more than three times the size of the
company's existing showroom and will
display Amuneal's high-end furnishings,
lighting and cabinetry, which are available
to the trade and the consumer. The
showroom will also highlight the company's
fabrication capabilities and range of
finishes, as well as its newest products and
design inspirations.
UWE RASCHKE is the new
CEO of BSH HAUSGERÄTE
GMBH, and he will remain
a member of the Board of
Management of Robert
Bosch GmbH. He succeeds DR. KARSTEN
OTTENBERG, who left BSH
on his own request. At the
end of June, BSH's CFO
JOHANNES NÄRGER retired,
and his successor will soon
be announced.
Design Co. Acquires Distributor
ATLANTA-BASED DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY Construction Resources LLC has ac-
quired United Materials Inc. (UMI), a Southeast
importer and distributor of surfacing materials. UMI
has more than 1,500 customers and annual revenues of more than $50,000,000, it has three design
centers in Naples, Tampa and Boynton Beach, Fla.
- with plans for expansion - and its countertop slab
offerings include quartz, natural stone, porcelain
and recycled glass. UMI's management team will
assume its current roles as part of the Construction Resources group, which offers more than 60
brands and 10 product categories.

Top Honors
INOX'S CERAMAX RAINBEAUX CERAMICCOATED LINE won the hardware category
at the NYCxDESIGN Awards, which were
presented by Interior Design magazine
and ICFF. The competition received more
than 900 entries across architecture, interiors, products, accessories and technology. The CeraMax customizable finish is
resistant to most solvents and chemicals,
which makes it suitable for harsh environments that experience salt spray, oxidation, humidity and UV light. It withstands
the ASTM B117 Salt Spray Corrosion test
up to 85 times longer than stainless steel.
