In this session, I will walk you through the ins
and outs of kosher kitchens and educate you on
the specific demographic that requires one. This
demographic tends to value family above all else
and uses the kitchen as a hub where Sabbath and
holiday meals, as well as meaningful connections
and special experiences, are created. The concept
behind cooking kosher, including the dietary laws
and requirements, as well as the adjustments that
need to be made to the kitchen design to accommodate these requirements, will be discussed in
depth. Understanding why the usual work triangle does not typically support a functional kosher kitchen design is key to successfully designing one. Alternatives to the typical triangle will be
explained in detail. Lastly, are kitchen appliances
kosher? Find out the answer as we discuss what
to look out for when specifying appliances for a
kosher kitchen.
