Before a customer decides to give us their money for a material or service
purchase, they must decide who they want to provide that service. A consumer
will rarely choose someone based on experience and expertise over word-ofmouth referral and whom they feel comfortable with. This session will teach
you how to mirror the client's preferred communication style; a methodology
that helps the client feel understood and valued will ensure you stand out from
the competition. We will also discuss ways to avoid complications because
of miscommunication throughout the project cycle to maintain the client's
confidence and ensure that they will be providing you word-of-mouth referrals in the end.

environments and beyond and want to rise up to the next
level into product design will want to attend. They will learn
why designing product for licensing with manufacturers is a
growing profit area they should not miss out on if they have
the desire and skill to try it. Designers will also learn how to translate the way
they design spaces into a new medium. They will gain some valuable tips on
how to move into the product design area while keeping their design business
going and profitable until they are able to make the switch completely if that's

the goal. Manufacturers will learn how to offer customization for designers
to build their own lines and sell independently. Partnering with designers on
licensed products is a surefire way to elevate your brand to the next level. Your
target media,from interior designer and architect-interest magazines and blogs
to plumbing trade media outlets, gravitate toward products with a designer
connection. In other words, put a designer face behind your company and see
your brand image and product sales soar. 
All attendees will learn how to make a licensing agreement that's not just
compatible but profitable and how to promote the designer-name product
without stepping on each other's toes.They will learn the ins and outs of hiring a licensing agent or whether they should attempt to do it on their own.

There's a lot of conversation going on about technology in the kitchen and
bath space, along with a tremendous amount of conversation on universal
design. As I mature into my 50s and am turning to care for my 70-year-old
parents, I couldn't help but link these two conversations. We can't talk about
aging in place without also integrating the trends of the times and the future
we see being developed.
ŠOne of the largest driving forces for us as human beings is to have a sense of
control over ourselves.

ŠOne of the definitions of technology is this: the human process of applying
resources to satisfy our wants and needs to extend our capabilities

ŠOur primary goal is to aid independent living for as long as it is SAFE.
ŠSmart technology can play a role in making it safer for seniors to live at home longer.
ŠRoughly four in 10 seniors are smartphone owners, and this statistic is growing
every year. My parents were using MyChart way before I was!
