Amp up professional knowledge and earn
CEU credits with nearly 50 online sessions
ONE KEY LESSON LEARNED in 2020 was that
pros have to be able to adapt to changing business conditions to meet the evolving needs of
their clients - and quickly. To do this, they must
stay on top of the latest developments and trends
in business, technology and design that accommodate those needs.
Among the National Kitchen & Bath Association's (NKBA's) primary missions is the continuing professional development of its members
and cultivation of industry-leading certifications
- Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD)
and Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer (CMKBD). NKBA's free monthly webinars qualify for the continuing education units
(CEUs) necessary to maintain certification (20
hours within a two-year cycle) and also benefit
NKBA Specialty Badge holders, who need to
accrue CEUs to maintain their badge credentials.
For 2021, NKBA has lined up a slate of webinars that explores key industry topics, from a
sales and business focus to subjects brought to
the forefront by the ongoing health crisis, including smart home technology, health and wellness,
sustainability, outdoor living and more.
Each 60-minute webinar is presented on a virtual platform by a subject matter expert and offers
NKBA-certified attending participants 0.1 CEU.
Certified participants must engage in 80% of the
sessions to receive CEU credit.Registration is available until two hours prior to the webinar's start time;
details on dates and times are also on the website.
In 2021, the association will continue to offer
four themed webinars per month. Here's a summary of monthly themes.

people who live there. June's sessions look at the psychology of color, how
color gives a kitchen its edge, colorful approaches to designing a next

July - Cabinetry & Remodeling: These sessions explore large-scale functionality for small-scale environments in home design, thinking inside the cabinet

August - Surfaces & Design: Surfaces tend to get the most attention in kitchens and baths. August webinars discuss reasons to choose natural materials, mixing materials, safe surfaces and spaces and successfully supporting

September - Wellness & Universal Design: Most people want to stay in their
homes as they age for as long as possible. The sessions this month feature
designing for now, the future and multi-generational kitchens; biophilia and
design for wellness; and working with curbless showers in the bathroom.
