Brighter colors are not going too far away
though, and particularly those seen in nature will
serve as the accents to the more grounding, serene
tones. According to Denise Turner, founder and
CEO of Color Turners, many of the biophilic
colors will refer to wellness and freshness - like the
colors seen at a farmer's market stand.
" These produce and herbal tones are influencing our color preferences, " said Turner, who
cited food colors like eggplant, sage, turmeric,
yellow squash and raw honey. " Personal responsibility for health is front and center, and we're
cooking more while experimenting with new
spices and produce. "
GOING ORGANIC

Finishes made from natural materials - or that reference what's found in nature - will complement
the trending hues. Consumers are continuing to
use finishes to add personal touches to their spaces,
but they are ultimately being drawn to tones that
either contrast or soften designs while reminding
them of the outdoors.
