Expansion Plan: Our recognized experience in generation plant construction provides the necessary support to undertake a current Expansion Plan that will allow us, by 2014, to increase installed capacity by 43% and annual energy generation by 60%. Such Plan consists of construction of two hydroelectric generation plants (Amoyá and Sogamoso) and diversion of two rivers (Manso and Guarinó) to MielI hydro plant. Sogamoso Project: With the construction of this project will be able to serve 10% of the country’s energy demand. The 820 MW installed capacity project will mean additional 5,056 GWh per year. At a cost of USD 2.3 million, it will be one of the most important infrastructure projects in the country. Renewable energy: In order to facilitate inclusion of renewable energy so as to ensure sustainable electricity generation in the long-term vis-à-vis the climate change, ISAGEN is executing a Study Plan for new generation projects with unconventional energy sources such as wind and geothermal energy. Internationalization: Our internationalization strategy in Latin America is focused on leveraging the Company’s competitive advantages to develop energy integrated business, for which we are currently conducting prospecting activities.
