reprieve, while the other is lying
on her stomach trying to get a
Southern California tan.

Peter Busby said, "I approach art in the public realm from the perspective of
inclusion and aim to create a vision of both timelessness and beauty. Such
was my intent while creating the whale tails that are seen diving into a sea of
grass at Alta Laguna Park." The artist added, "This sculpture is representational
of and inspirational to the environmental and cultural spirit of the community of
Laguna Beach."

James T. Russell explained that
"Blue Sky" represents the flowing movement of the sky and
reflects the environment. The
teak wood seat represents earth
in its natural color and warmth.
Together the elements elevate
a simple design to a higher art
form.
