The newly designed sculpture was created specifically
for the owners of the boutique hotel "14 West"
in Laguna Beach. "The owners wanted something
that reflected their new brand and also had a universal quality to it that would reflect the natural beauty of
Laguna Beach and the surrounding area," Jorg said.
The piece features five progressively sized mirrorpolished stainless steel spheres mounted
on varying heights of stainless tubing.

Raymond Persinger explains, "There is often a gap between looking, seeing and
understanding." Written by the artist, these site-specific poems remind us of the
fragile and fleeting quality of that experience.

Crazy quilt brick work lining the
wall serves as backdrop for two
living room chairs created of
bronze with a table between
them. To honor the family who
donated the land for the park,
one of the bronze books on the
table is titled "Browns." The
artist said, "As people pass by
this homage to the history of
the city, I invite all to rest and sit
on the art work and enjoy this
public space."
