"Bluebird Park Gate"

"I grew up in Laguna Beach going to the park," Jon said. The whimsical, colorful
design is aimed to appeal to children. "It's for the kids, where kids play," the
artist reiterated. "My goal is to create a fantasy-like experience while entering the
passage into Bluebird Park, giving a preview of the joy that lies within the gate."

"Laguna Tortoise"

Laguna Beach artist Michele Taylor's inspiration for this piece was Aesop's fable
'The Tortoise and the Hare," Michele said.
"It is my hope that the tortoise will inspire
viewers to maintain focus, humility and
perseverance regardless of the situation."
The 9-foot-long tortoise weighs about two
tons and is imbedded with ceramics, cast
and blown glass. "To inspire imagination is
magical," Michele said.
