Entrepreneur Frankel introduced
Skinnygirl, a brand that began with
liquor and expanded into other
products, including salad dressings,
water enhancers, protein shakes
and lunch meats. Virginia ABC store
shelves stock several low-calorie
Skinnygirl cocktails, including
Margarita, White Cranberry Cosmo
and White Peach Margarita.
Frankel chooses product
licensing deals based on what she
would want to buy. The Skinnygirl
products portray a mission beyond
simply making money. Frankel
has published books aimed at
empowering women, such as
"Skinnygirl Solutions: Simple
Ideas, Extraordinary Results" for
relationships, health, family, career,
style and sex; and "Naturally Thin:
Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free
Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting."
Her website, Bethenny.com,
includes healthy recipes and tips for
success in lifestyle and career.
Although the Skinnygirl alcohol
company is now owned by Beam
Suntory, Frankel maintains an
interest in the business. Rather than
accept a lump sum of easy money
for Skinnygirl, Frankel continues to
get payouts if the products sell well.
She also maintains rights to the
name, using it to market her other
products.
In fall 2017, Frankel went to
Mexico to help earthquake victims,
then a week later chartered four
planes to take aid to victims of
Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
She's a drama queen and skinny
girl with a big heart.

Haig Club has a partnership with David Beckham.

When a brand partners with a
celebrity, the product and person
typically share significant traits.
In the case of Haig Club Scotch
and British football icon David
Beckham, those traits began with
the development of the whisky.
From the beginning, Diageo
wanted Beckham to be involved as
more than just a spokesperson. The
Haig name comes from Scotland's
oldest grain whisky dynasty, and
Haig was the whisky of choice for
Beckham's grandfather.
Beckham played football (known
as "soccer" in the U.S.) for 20 years,
achieving numerous accolades. Pelé
picked him in 2004 for the FIFA 100
list of the world's greatest living
players. He was inducted into the
English Football Hall of Fame in
2008. The Haig Club advertisements

fit with Beckham's personal brand.
The inaugural ad shows friends
gathering at a plush destination in
the Scottish Highlands, traveling
through the glens via Aston Martin,
vintage motorcycle, Land Rover
and seaplane.
Beckham may travel in high
circles, but he doesn't have a
stuffy attitude. He prefers pubs,
where he can hang out around a
fire with mates.
The whisky's style is apparent
in the blue bottle, too, which
was inspired by the tradition of
blenders using blue tasting glasses
to help them judge the spirit on
aroma and taste alone.
"Haig Club is designed to be
different," says Kathy Parker,
senior vice president of Haig Club
in a press release for the product.
"Historically, single grain whisky
has been in the shadow of single
malts and blended scotch, but Haig
