Clifton Forge School of the Arts

to take their education further than the
traditional classroom.
Education takes many forms in the
Alleghany Highlands, and those who are
looking for an education in the arts need
look no further. The nonprofit Clifton
Forge School of the Arts is home to dozens
of artisans who provide a challenging
and instructional curriculum of artistic
and craft-based classes for all ages.

Mere blocks away from the school, The
Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center
regularly hosts exhibits of local, regional
and nationally known artists in a variety
of mediums, and the renovated Historic
Masonic Theatre has found new life as a
cultural hub for the performing arts.
To tie it all together, the Alleghany
Highlands Arts Council continues the work
it begins by bringing cultural experiences
