What's your favorite outdoor activity in the LifeOutside region?
Dragon's Tooth - Catawba: I love hiking Dragon's Tooth during early spring
and fall of the year with my dog Marcus. Climbing the rocks is exhilarating
and they are just the right size to tackle. When you see the quartzite and the
breathtaking view at the top, it feels like victory. It's a bit of a challenge to
climb down with the pooch though. I have to sometimes carry this 50-pound
dog from the top of the rock face down to the ground. It terrifies him.
Nevertheless, he loves it as much as I do. -Janette Spencer
