Roxanne Johnson began with
Imperial Beverage as a merchandiser. Nine years later, she is in sales
and oversees six teams, "covering
from as far south as Saugatuck, all
the way north and over to include
Lansing, and as far north as the
Mackinac Bridge," she explains.
In her work at Imperial, Roxanne
appreciates the opportunity to building various brands. She also likes the
industry's frequent changes. "There
is always something new and exciting to share with my customers and
team members, along with making
brands successful," she says.
Speaking of change, Roxanne is
thrilled with the industry movement
toward craft cocktails - and with the
way many of today's cocktails are
being crafted. "I find that cocktails
are being made with balance," she
says, "so well-balanced and just
delicious to drink."
When asked about her favorite spirits and brands, she replies,
"There are too many to have just one
favorite!" Nonetheless, she admits,
"I do like to enjoy a neat bourbon or
tequila."
And it just so happens that her
favorite brand is a tequila distiller:
"Adictivo Tequila is delicious from
the Plata to the Black," she says,
referring to the 3-week-aged blanco
and the limited-edition extra añejo
packaged in a black ceramic bottle -
made from 100 percent blue agave.
And Roxanne's favorite cocktail?
"Vodka and tonic with lime is my goto," she says.
