Welcome to the new issue of Montgomery County Spirits, the
magazine of and about your Montgomery County Department of
Liquor Control stores. We're grateful that, on behalf of the County
Executive and County Council, we are able to present information
covering our 27 stores and the hundreds of beer, wine and spirit
products sold in the stores.
This quarter's issue is chock-full of great information for the
summer months, with a peek ahead toward the magic of fall and
one of its most important aspects-football! Our tailgating piece
is full of recipes for both the grill and the glass.
This issue also celebrates two notable annual events in the
world of spirits: August 16 is National Rum Day, and September
is Bourbon Heritage Month. Our stories highlight both of those
celebrations.
