of America's most
accomplished conservation
photographers."
Contributing Editor Su
Clauson-Wicker (Sugar
Grove Curio), authored
"West Virginia Off the
Beaten Path, Scenic Roads &
Byways West Virginia," and
"Inn-to-Inn Walking Guide
for the Virginias," to justify
exploring the Virginias' back
roads. Recently she co-wrote
a history of Blacksburg's
Lyric Theatre, tracking down
ghosts, underground streams
and more. An award-winning
regional writer, she penned
her first Blue Ridge Country
story in 1988.
Arthur "Butch" McDade
(Vannie Cook and Smokies'
Names Curios) is a native
Tennessean who retired
from Great Smoky Mountains National Park after 30
years with the National Park
Service. He's the author of
"The Natural Arches of the
Big South Fork" and "Old
Smoky Mountain Days."
Additionally, he's contributed to the "Encyclopedia
of Appalachia," along with
writing numerous articles on
the southern Appalachian
mountains.
Danny Redd (Lost Appalchia) is from Galax, Virginia
and is an award-winning,
amateur photographer. He
enjoys nature and wildlife
photography and has picked
up the desire to photograph
old/abandoned homes, barns
and buildings before they fall
into disrepair. His work has
appeared in Blue Ridge Country, Country and Country Extra
magazines. He is a graphic
designer for The Gazette
newspaper in Galax. More
