oldest building in Tennessee's oldest town! For 22 years
Hawley House B & B welcomed guests from around the
world! Though the Bed & Breakfast closed a few years ago,
The Butterfly Cottage on the hill behind the main house
offers a secluded spot for the perfect getaway! Without
Blue Ridge Country we would have missed out on all the
wonderful excursions, learning our way up and down the
valley, and making new lifelong friends."

"This is the only magazine I subscribe to. I was born
in 1957 in Christiansburg, Virginia, and had my first trip
down the Blue Ridge Parkway at 6 months old. In the '70s
during high school I took my future wife to the parkway
many times and have a picture of us atop the Lump overlook near Mount Jefferson [milepost 268], North Carolina
on October 27, 1974. That shows the view that was once
there but covered by pine trees now. The picture in one
issue of Blue Ridge Country brought back fresh memories
of that long ago autumn. We are still married heading toward our 42nd anniversary and retirement. This magazine
covers it all and I go to the shops the restaurants and the
inns, and the photos are breathtaking. The Blue Ridge
Parkway will always be home to me and your magazine
almost like a second bible of nature. When the magazine
arrives I can hardly get through the door before reading
the cover. Thank you for all these years and I have gotten
some friends to subscribe. Keep up the format...it is original and one-of-a-kind. Thank you."

go-to read where I escape from my Virginia Beach, Virginia reality of everyday life. My parents brought us occasionally to the Virginia Blue Ridge area when I was
a kid, and this magazine gives me what the day-to-day
same-old same-old does not. I see such timeless beauty
in nature, I read in awe about how life was in the Blue
Ridge Mountains, whether it was good times or hard
times. I enjoy creating bucket lists of places to visit in
the future by discovering them first in Blue Ridge Country. I have been reading this excellent magazine off and
on for the past 25 years or so. I used to wait in anticipation every other month at the grocery or book store to
pick up a copy, but thankfully now I am a subscriber.
