Between 1962-1974, International Fiberglass made and
sold giant figurines to many
businesses. Known as highway giants, they still stand
tall across America. You can
find one, Mr. Hobby Man, in
Blue Ridge, GA. 34.5112° N,
84.2027° W, while another,
Indian Chief, stands tall in
Cherokee, NC. 35.2811° N,
83.1775° W

JANUARY'S SIGN, CAPRICORN:

December 22-January 19
(INDEPENDENT, PRECISE, LOYAL)

RECIPE

PUFFS WITH HONEY BUTTER DIP
3 eggs
8 ounces plain yogurt
3 TBS softened butter
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp ground nutmeg
¼ tsp salt
Oil for frying
Beat eggs in large bowl at high
speed for 3 mins. Beat in yogurt and
butter on low speed. Add dry ingredients; beat on low speed.
Heat oil 2-3 inches deep to 360.
Drop dough by level tsp. into oil
and fry until light brown. Serve with
Honey Butter dip. (¼ c. soft butter
beaten with ¼ c. honey)
Makes 4 doz. puffs.

GARDENING HINTS

January is a great time for planning
next year's garden. Cozy up and
open some seed catalogs. Cut out
pictures of flowers and vegetables
and paste them onto a plan of your
yard and garden. Or just paste them
into a scrapbook and dream of
spring.
