Library in Virginia - the Pembroke Public
Library. Pause for lunch Roma's Italian
Restaurant or Riviera Mexican Grill
before hitting the New River Water Trail to
paddle, kayak or fish. Try a round of golf at
Castle Rock Golf and Recreation or a
hike to the 69-foot Cascades waterfall. End
the day at award-winning Korean restaurant
Kal-Bee's.
In the county seat of Pearisburg, stop
in for breakfast at Friends and Family
Restaurant. Pop into Pearis Mercantile
or feel like a movie star with a tour at the
Giles County Courthouse (featured
in "Wish You Well"), and the Andrew
Johnston House and Museum, home to
the Giles County Historical Society. See one
of the largest Cucumber Magnolia trees in
the state at the Pearis Cemetery before
lunch at Queen's Pizza, Papa's Pizzeria
or La Barranca Mexican Grill. Outdoor

adventurers can hike Angels Rest before
finishing the day with a hard-earned glass
of wine and incredible view at the awardwinning Inn at Riverbend.
In Narrows, start at Centennial
Park and The Mural of Narrows
before visiting the Narrows Farmers
Market for local produce and handmade
items. Enjoy scenery at the duck pond and
Mill Dam on Wolf Creek - don't forget
the selfie at the LOVEworks sculpture! Shop
at Creekside Classics and Ms. Audre's
Fabrics & Fellowship before enjoying

at the historic staple Anna's Restaurant
or dine alfresco at Narrows Town Park,
where you can also swim in the creek. Take a
hike at Mill Creek Nature Park with miles
of trails and over 40 acres of natural beauty,
including four waterfalls. Stay overnight at
The Historic MacArthur Inn, a hotel
built in the 1940s.
Eat in Rich Creek at The Corner
Market or Burger Boy before strolling
through the heart of town to enjoy old homes
and churches. Shop at Allen's Furniture

Pharmacy. Enjoy lunch at Pizza Plus or
Queen's Pizza, or get it to go for a picnic
lunch overlooking the New River at the
public boat landing along the New River
Water Trail. Continue to Woodland Park
for the walking trail and finish the day with a
nostalgic meal at Central Restaurant.
In Glen Lyn, start with a walk or bike
ride through Glen Lyn Park along the New
River, or hike a portion of the Mary Ingles
Trail, where you might even see osprey or
eagles. Spend the day at Kairos Resort, on
their birding or riding trails. They also offer
camping and luxury yurts! Campers will also
love staying at the Glen Lyn Campground
along the New River.
