A PERFECT SUMMER DAY

DREAMY DETAILS

Julia Koff and Andrew Brenton had their first
date in the ninth grade at their high school's
Homecoming dance. They remained friends
but drifted apart when they went away to
college, though two years later, they found
themselves back in Roanoke. A mutual friend
realized it for them and helped to reconnect
them. They were inseparable after that!
Thirteen years after that first date, they
were happily in love. Andrew knew it was
time to make it official and incorporated all
three of their dogs into the proposal. Each
dog brought Julia a note asking "Will You
Marry Me?" She, of course, said yes without
hesitation.

Their ceremony took place on the covered deck
of their venue, with breathtaking mountain
views behind them. With gorgeous weather,
a warm breeze and not a cloud in the sky,
all their closest friends and family gathered
to watch Andrew and Julia share their love
for one another.
"That moment is at the top of my list as
the best memory of the day," Julia says.
Including their nine-month-old daughter,
Eva, into the ceremony was special as well.
Her dress had mauve trim to match the colors
and she wore a floral crown of baby's breath
on her head and was pulled down the aisle
in a white wagon as their flower girl.

Julia wanted a theme of mountains and
romance, enhanced with the spectacular
panoramic views. She chose colors of mauve,
dusty rose, ivory and a pop of gold, with
vintage white lantern centerpieces that had
flowers inside and pouring out of them. Next
to each lantern was a picture frame made with
purple and ivory paper behind a gold table
number. They also added purple drinking
glasses to the tables for even more color.
Julia's bridal bouquet was exactly what
she had envisioned, with amnesia roses,
creamy vendela roses, and baby's breath
accents, hand-tied with ivory satin ribbon
and secured with pearl pins.
