Back in high school, John Addington always
thought Melissa Brown was beautiful. Fourteen years later, they happened to be in the
same restaurant and John knew he wouldn't
miss his chance again; they began dating,
overcoming long-distance challenges until
Melissa moved back to Salem.
While renovating their home that was once
her grandmother's, Melissa found a gift of
her favorite holiday chocolates, along with
a photo album dedicated to their "Nexts,"
such as next kiss, hug and family. John got
on one knee to propose, which was special
to Melissa because she'd spent so many
good times in that room with her family.

While their wedding day flew by, John swears
seeing Melissa for their First Look was one
of the happiest moments of his life, and still
gets emotional thinking about it. Melissa's
favorite memory was their ceremony, as it
felt like just the two of them there as they
held hands and made promises to one
another. "I was so happy to be marrying
my best friend and starting 'our forever'
officially," Melissa explains.

FALLING FOR THE DETAILS

Every wedding component was tailored
to the couple, with small details made by
friends and family. They were married on

a family farm by Melissa's uncle, and her
father built a photo wall to display generations of family photos. Fall colors decorated
the farmhouse while their rustic theme
included handmade farm tables and gold
table runners with a clear reception tent.
FUN FOR EVERYONE

G uests received homemade apple butter

as favors and danced all night long. The
groom wrapped Melissa's garter around
a football and tossed it into the crowd,
with the ringbearer wearing the garter as
a headband the rest of the night. Melissa
says the mood for the entire day perfectly
represented their happy occasion.
