GALLERY LIVING From music-themed paintings in the formal living room to unique acrylic sculptures in the family room, the Hellkamps' house almost feels like a museum with each room serving as a small gallery. "Our love of art has grown over the years, but it began quite early for my husband," says Diane Hellkamp. "He remembers being intrigued by his great aunt who always had interesting pieces in her home. In the '90s, he started collecting some pieces of his own." Their collection includes works from regional artists as well as pieces they've collected from their travels. Two unique pieces in the house are the Frederick Hart sculptures. Hart, a native of Atlanta, was a renowned contemporary sculptor who gained international recognition for his work on a sculpture on the west facade of the Washington National Cathedral.
