Walk into Vinton Appliance and be amazed by the
variety of premiere kitchen appliances, all displayed in
real kitchen settings. In a world of "big box" retailers,
their friendly greeting and knowledgeable sales team
offer a different type of buying experience.
Located in the heart of downtown Vinton on the
corner of Lee Avenue, Vinton Appliance carries some of
the best appliances around. However, it's the customer
service that makes customers return again and again-
some for multiple generations!
Owner and operator Jeff Janney began selling appliances 40 years ago. He worked with Holdrens Inc. for
24 years. When that business closed, Jeff began selling
used appliances out of the trunk of his car. That experience gave him the confidence to start his own business
in 2001. When the Holdrens space became available, Jeff
moved Vinton Appliance into the building, where it has
been located for the past 16 years. With his customers
in place, his business grew despite the ups and downs of
the market, again thanks to excellent customer service.
Upon entering the store you are greeted immediately
by a sales associate who will "thank you" for coming
into their business. "Wow" is often a client's first reaction upon seeing the selection of Subzero and Wolf,
Viking, Miele and other premiere appliances. Jeff offers appliances to fit all budgets, whether a client needs
the "basics" or is planning their dream kitchen. Vinton
Appliance serves Vinton, Roanoke, Forest and Smith
Mountain Lake areas, and can assist with any warranty
or service questions on the appliances they sell.
Janney believes when a customer spends their hardearned money with them, it's up to his business to support them when there is an issue. If Janney and his team
cannot help the customer over the phone, they will personally call a service provider rather than give the customer a toll free number for service.
Janney and his staff are passionate about their work
and bringing the best shopping experience to their customers. Their sales team, consisting of Jeff Janney, Paul
St. Clair, Alan Wilkerson, and Penny Burkholder, together have a combined 85 years of experience in appliance sales.
They are well-informed, yet constantly train on the
latest innovations to stay on the cutting edge of new
