ROOTS IN EDUCATION AND SERVICE
In today's financial world, it's easy to get lost
in the shuffle. At Roanoke Valley Community
Credit Union, however, their devotion to the
members is unparalleled. They believe the
greatest investment they can make is in their
membership.
Originally started in 1947 as a credit union for
Roanoke City teachers, RVCCU was among the
first local credit unions to be a community-based
membership, allowing them to work with all who
live and work in the valley. Since that time, they
have merged with the Roanoke County school
employees' and Roanoke Fireman's federal
credit unions.
The RVCCU team is proud to have years
of experience behind them to bring their
members the best service and care possible.
Vice President Pamela Duke has 28 years of
credit union experience, putting her whole heart
into providing valuable service for members
and employees.
Brittany Jones, senior financial service
representative and on the RVCCU team for 14
years, is involved with the southwest county
community, and a member of BABA. Melissa
Brooks, financial services representative and
branch supervisor and on the team five years,
works closely with the north county community
and is a member of the WRABA. As a financial
service representative with nine years on the
team, Katie Pagans works closely with members
on their new first mortgage program. She is
also involved with a number of local charities,
and is heavily involved with the Dickens of a
Christmas parade. Marni Cooper began her
career as a teller; after a decade with the team,
she's now a financial service representative and
branch manager. She works with the National
MS Society, is involved with the Community
Christmas Store and is an active member with
the Roanoke-Salem Chamber of Commerce.
The RVCCU team views each member as the
one and only member, understanding that every
situation requires individual attention based on
specific needs. RVCCU prides itself on quality
one-on-one care, learning about their members'
circumstances, assisting with the application
process, and approving and disbursing the loan.
Their financial goals are to help their members
in the good times as well as the bad.
