TRANSFORMATION! These changes
involve adding many new lines
including "OH MY GAUZE!", Modesce,
Vine Street and numerous other
Gorgeous Lines. "NEW BEGINNINGS"
are so exciting and we can't wait for

company.
Christy's has proudly been in business
for 36 years, beginning in downtown
Roanoke. We are now located in the
beautiful, newly remodeled Towers
Shopping Center on the upper level
on the inside, where our customers
continue to be our #1 priority.
Q: What does it mean to be recognized as a
"Best of 2019" award?
We are humbled and excited that
our community recognizes our hard
work. Validation for our efforts is so
appreciated. It is always an honor to be
in the company of so many exemplary
recognized businesses. This award
motivates us to continue to offer our

Q: Tell us about your business.
A: Upcycled Gifts started 10 years ago as a personal
challenge to create things out of repurposed materials.
We have grown quite a bit since those early days of just
making jewelry from Starbucks® gift cards. Today we
continue to offer repurposed gifts and much more. We
work with artists locally and regionally, including local
writers, to give them a platform to share their talents.
We make certain our other items are fair trade, and living
wage so that you can still feel good about your purchase.
Q: Favorite part of your job?
A: It would have to be curating and sharing the stories
behind our unique creations and vintage merchandise.
Q: What does it mean to you to be recognized as a
"Best of 2019" award winner?
A: We are so thankful for the support of our community,
not just in this poll, but for allowing us to be a part of their
lives. It motivates us to continue creating and gathering
the Valley's most unique selection of gifts and home
decor.
