Six new members join the MACS board of directors Six new members were elected to the Mobile Air Conditioning Society's (MACS) Worldwide board of directors and were sworn in for a two year term at the annual MACS membership meeting held at the MACS 2015 Training Event and Trade Show in Orlando, FL. Elected from the service and repair membership are Tanya Johnson of Johnny's Radia- tor Shop in Warren, AR and Danny Spitznagel of Ft. Walton Radiator and Auto Air, Ft. Walton Beach, FL. New distributor board members elected to a two-year term are Tod Ellison of MEI Corporation, Atlanta, Ga and Mark Schmitz of Global Parts Distributors, Macon, GA. Gary Hansen of Red Dot, Seattle, WA and Al Leupold of Bergstrom, Rockford, IL, were elected from the manufacturing membership. In addition to the new board members, the following new board ofﬁcers were also sworn in for a one year term. Arthur "Butch" Smith of ARA, Wylie, TX, is past chairman, Andy Fifﬁck of Rad Air Car Care, Cleveland, OH was elected as chairman of the board, Michael Dawson of T/ CCI, Decatur, IL was elected as vice chairman, David Jack of DENSO Products and Services, Long Beach, CA was elected as treasurer and Tanya Johnson, of Johnny's Radiator, Warren, AR was elected as secretary. Save the date for MACS San Juan, PR Training Event -- April 18, 2015 MACS will be holding a Mobile A/C and Total Vehicle Climate and Thermal Management Clinic in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, April 18, 2015. The day will include morning and afternoon Spanish language training sessions and vendor table top displays and will take place at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Leo Salinas of Four Seasons will present Spanish language course materials. Training outreach is an important part of the MACS charter and we are fortunate to have a Board of Directors that has made it a priority.
