Figure 5, which indicates No. 213 is
in the same tightly-wrapped harness
that went through the firewall, and
right next to it is Splice 201. So even if
the technician dug into the dashboard
and managed to get to the harness
conduit, he would have to find the
one with the GN-OG (green/orange)
wire, not the one with the YE-VT
(yellow-violet) wire. If you have to
work in tight quarters under-dash, be
extremely careful as you could damage a close-by splice that's not in your
area of interest.
He decided that instead of digging
under the dash, he would expose the
harness as it went into the firewall
and luckily found a green/orange
wire, which he probed and found was
shorted. So he ran a new wire from
PCM terminal 15 to that green/or
